NEW GOLD DREAMS - I 1975, rabbia giovane post-punk senza saperlo

L'11 E 12 MAGGIO UN DOPPIO BILL PER DUE DELLE BAND PIU' INTERESSANTI DELLA NUOVA SCENA INDIPENDENTE INGLESE. GLI SWIM DEEP SARANNO ACCOMPAGNATI DAI THE 1975.

The 1975".

OFF THE RECORDS/NEW GOLD DREAMS - Tyson, the new Sylvester...his "Die on the Dancefloor" is the best dance '80s album of the Year

In 2011, after a lukewarm attempt at a solo career, London's Ali Love somehow became the male vocalist in house circles: he was versatile enough to feature on top of the spewed electro of Justice's Civilization or the chilled nu-Balearica of Luca C & Brigante's "Different Morals," and he featured, most prominently, on that unescapable half-disco, half-house gem by Hot Natured ("Forward Motion"). If there is one thing you could reproach, however, it's Love's singing, its overall self-restraint, its under-the-top-ness.

Enter Tyson, another Londoner with the same knack for Italo-tinged pop, who works with the same label (Back Yard Recordings), and the same studio collaborator (Martin Dubka, of indie-dance hopefuls Cazals), but with a totally different approach to self-characterization. On the basis of his
Die on the Dancefloor long-player, it wouldn't be surprising to see this young newcomer ubiquitously occupy in 2012 the same ground Love did last year. Except Tyson is, at heart, a more theatrical vocalist in the diva house tradition. (Think Robert Owens meets Billie Ray Martin meets Chelonis R. Jones meets Hard Ton.) The campy attitude he displays on the ten tracks on offer might be too much of an acquired taste, but there is also a commanding posture at work here that makes his music definitely stand out.

Aesthetically speaking,
Die on the Dancefloor is pretty much in synch with what you'd expect post-disco resurgence dance pop to be like. "Fight," for instance, constitutes a rather enjoyable go at the kind of commercially sound, mainstream recordings Giorgio Moroder perfected during his Flashdance soundtrack phase, although it is hard to tell if the overwrought guitar solo that severs the song in two is tongue-in-cheek or just tootongue-in-cheek for its own good. The same could be said about songs like "Love's on the Line" or "Ran for Love," which both recall Tina Turner's reign in sci-fi classicMad Max. Album closer "On the Radio" constitutes the mandatory—and disposable, to be frank—unhurried track: not slow enough to be fully epic, yet not danceable enough either, it mostly serves to draw attention to the fact Tyson has undeniable magnetism on one hand, but that he also relies on the strength of the background compositions at all times. That said, you can't help but hope that Die on the Dancefloor will be Tyson's entry ticket on the house scene next to other novices like EJ, Little Jinder or even Amirali, and his authoritative vocal presence won't make electronic music producers shy away from one of the most interesting characters to emerge from the UK these past months.

NEW GOLD DREAMS - Oblique

Oblique begans its musical journey in mid-2003 with their debut release Acapulco (Greenland Productions). Reminiscences of the eighties and influences of the electro sounds imposed in Europe make up this album with which they start to get known in the underground circuits in the country.
After editing This is my... remixes (Greenland Productions), their first single remixed by Dj Coco & Bombjack, OBK or Spunky among others, the band decide to expose their second LP Wonderful Opulence (Greenland Productions), a more elaborate album with darker influences with which they even cross borders being played on MTV Italy and having very good reviews from specialized English websites like The Pansentient League or League-online or Belgian websites like Side Line, for example.

After traveling half of Spain with more than 50 concerts and performing at such prestigious festivals like FIB 2009, Eólica, Heineken Greenspace Valencia, Musiclip, Sonoric or T'ho Porto (Portugal), Oblique returns with Acapulco [Special Edition] (Greenland Productions), an EP that covers songs of their first album and that it has a great reception in digital sales from United Kingdom.

The influences of the band pass by groups such as:
Client, Ladytron, OMD, The Human League, Hot Chip, Cut Copy, White Lies, etc.

Already in 2009, Oblique records Without Making Noise (Greenland Productions) leaping into their sound to more personal formats where electronic dance and dark atmospheres are strongly present.
Without Making Noise opens to Oblique new ways like signing with EMI Publishing, including songs in films such as Sexy Killer (Miguel Marti) or the awarded Bon Appétit (David Pinillos) or being appointed by the specialized media (Mondo Sonoro, Go, Rock Deluxe...).

The Cathedral has been the last EP of the band and it has been released in digital format in late 2009. It consists of five personal and almost acoustic versions of tracks from previous albums.

Currently, Oblique is in the process of creating what will be his new album and video clip.

Awards received by Oblique:

- Prize for the best electronic band Pop-Eye Awards.
- Prize for the best electronic band Metro Journal.
- Prize for the best electronic band Heineken Kulture Movement.
- Audience Award for best video clip "My Medicine" Medina del Campo Film Festival.
- Audience Award for best video clip "My Medicine" Musiclip International Festival.
- Electronically Yours (UK) choose "All We Want" as the best electronic song in the TOP 20 2008.
- MTV 2010 Best Bet.

NEW GOLD DREAMS - Listen to this! "Noblesse Oblige"

Noblesse Oblige invite you into their exotic world of mysticism and new wave melancholy. From their intoxicatingly provocative live performances, to their unique recordings; this raw art duo commands feverish tribal sounds and acoustically grounded electro-fusion, and stitch them to their theatrical backbone of visceral pop, voodoo musings and eerie sparse electronics. Embark on a hypnotic journey into the dark temptations of the heart!
Noblesse Oblige was formed in London by French actress Valerie Renay and German producer Sebastian Lee Philipp. Their debut album Privilege Entails Responsibility includes "Bitch" and "Daddy, Don't Touch Me There", now classics of the Independent Electro underground scene. After moving to Berlin in 2007, the band released their second album In Exile, winning an endorsement by the German ministry of Culture and the Russian Steppenwolf Music award. Their third album Malady is the conclusion of an exploration of the occult. The dark temptations of the heart expressed in the album's eerie tales of voodoo gods, soul electrification, witchcraft, and tropical fevers are underlined by the band's use of exotic instruments, electronic beats, and tribal percussions, mixed with their traditional blend of melodic kitsch and new wave theatricality. Noblesse Oblige have performed their raw, dramatic and visually striking live shows throughout Europe and South America.
Besides her work as half of Noblesse Oblige, Valerie is a trained actress (aka Femme Facade) directing, writing and performing her own work and appearing at Performance & Art Festivals around the world.
Sebastian is a music producer with his own Berlin based studio in which he records and produces artists and writes film soundtracks. He also releases music as half of Der Räuber und der Prinz.

NEW GOLD DREAMS - Bienvenue Super Pop Corn!

NEW GOLD DREAMS - From Russia with love. Take a listen to The Tapeaters, i Junior Boys moscoviti

The Tapeaters, named after a naughty tape recorder, is a Russian electro pop / electro funk duo formed in 2009 by Vadim (vocals, gtr., synths ) and Dmitri (synths, talkbox). The Tapeaters’ sound is formed by the warmth of vintage synths, funky vibes, layered airy vocals and talkbox combined together.
The band first got noticed in september, 2009 after the release of their first EP ‘Keep on Dancing’. This record was a combination of 7 tracks with catchy melodies, bouncy groves and the atmosphere of a slightly melancholic happiness. The title track ‘Keep on dancing’ still remains the most listened to. Inspired by positive feedback The Tapeaters didn’t wait long and released their second EP ‘Watch your Step’ in november.
In 2010 The Tapeaters toured Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia and played at the biggest russian music festival alongside The Horrors, Pantha Du Prince, Autokratz and many more. This experience proved that the band is great both on records and live. This was also the year when the collaboration between The Tapeaters and the Colombian design agency Monocromo began. The brilliant designers brought the band’s visual concept to a new level by working on the concept for the releases, their cover art for the releases and the website.
Later that year the band signed a record deal with a Boston based label OMG! Recordings. The first single ‘Oh My’ was released in august with remixes from Moscow producer Kimouts and Boston duo Nightriders, and was named in the 10 must hear indie-dance tracks on Beatport. It was followed by ‘Satellite’, that contained a dreamy funky original track and incredible remixes from Lifelike, Xinobi and Ghosts of Venice. Two weeks later The Tapeaters released their debut album ‘Visions’, consisting of 13 tracks.
The Tapeaters are working on their second LP.

Memories fade

"Memories fade but the scars still linger, I cannot grow, I cannot move, I cannot fell my age, The vice like grip of tension holds me fast, Engulfed by you, What can I do, When history’s my cage... Look foward to a future in the past".
